About

Hanna G. Kreiner

Hanna is a licensed psychotherapist, author, and teacher of mindfulness and self-compassion. She started her career researching the medical outcomes of individual and group psychotherapy on autoimmune disease. Inspired by the meaningful improvements people experienced emotionally and physically, she pursued her Masters in Social Welfare to provide mind-body therapies directly to those in need.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Hanna helps people with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, pain, and the emotions that accompany life transitions. She is a skilled support group facilitator as well as counselor. Through her training and experience in hospitals and clinics, Hanna has developed a specialty supporting those coping with serious illnesses, specifically cancer and heart disease.

Hanna has found mindfulness to be a strong foundation in facing life’s greatest challenges with more ease and equanimity.

Her personal mindfulness practice informs her work, whether it’s providing integrative psychotherapy, guiding meditations, teaching workshops on stress reduction, or facilitating Mindful Self-Compassion (an 8-week evidence-based course) or Finding C.A.L.M. (a course for parents).

Hanna’s book, Self-Compassion Journal for First-Time Moms, engages readers in self-compassion practices tailored for new parents.

Using psychotherapeutic and mindfulness approaches, Hanna enjoys helping people find a meaningful and satisfying way of life. Licensed in both Washington and California, Hanna provides in-person counseling at Seattle Mindfulness Center (Phinney Ridge, Seattle) and serves Washington and California clients via tele-therapy.  Hanna loves this work and welcomes the opportunity to connect with you.
