Finding CALM: Curiosity, Acceptance, Love & Mindfulness (6 week course)

Finding Calm (Curiosity, Acceptance, Love and Mindfulness) offers a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn mindful-based skills to help reduce stress, enhance strong bonds, explore mindful self-compassion and encourage balance.

Finding Calm will be led by Hanna G. Kreiner, LICSW and meets in a small group format weekly for six weeks. The fee is $195, paid directly to the class facilitator. Discounted rate of $295 available for couples. If financial assistance is needed, please reach out to the class facilitator to discuss options.

Location: Hybrid Online and In-Person. First and Last session in person at Seattle Mindfulness Center, Sessions 2,3,4,5 online

Mindful Self-Compassion Half-Day Retreat

What: A half-day Mindful Self-Compassion retreat for those who have completed an MSC course and are looking to reconnect to and cultivate the practices of lovingkindness and self-compassion

The Short Course in Mindful Self-Compassion (SC-MSC) is tailored toward the use of mindfulness and self-compassion practices for adapting positively and constructively when faced with adversity, and is derived from the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSCTM) eight-week program, an empirically-supported course developed by psychologists Chris Germer and Kristin Neff. 

Location: Online Interactive Livestream

When:  10:00a -11:30a // Thursdays, July 14 - Aug 18

Cost: sliding scale $150-210

Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop

Join Hanna for a brief Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion workshop!

When: Saturday, September 7, 2019 

Cost: $30

These workshops are intended to be an introduction to 8 Week Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop. By the end, you will depart with:

  • 1-2 self-compassion practices to immediately incorporate into your day-to-day life

  • A lived experience of the physiological benefits of mindful self-compassion, including decreased stress and increased ease & enjoyment of your day

  • Neurobiological explanation of mindfulness & self-compassion and how the practice can re-wire the brain

August 2019

Self-Compassion Summer Retreat

Join Hanna & Joel Grow, PhD for a free half-day retreat. We will alternate between periods of guided sitting and walking practice. Elements of Mindful Self-Compassion will be introduced.

Location: Seattle Mindfulness Center

When:  August 10 // 9:00a - 12:30p 

Cost: Donations are accepted, though not required. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

You do not need to have attended a retreat before but should have some experience with sitting meditation.
